ZF Australia Pacific Pty Ltd - as a subsidiary of ZF Holdings Australia Pty Ltd which is wholly owned by ZF Friedrichshafen AG, has been building a reputation for reliable service and supply of quality components since 1987. The parent company was established in 1915.

Established in early 1987, ZF Australia Pacific has consistently grown and developed its commitment in ensuring customer satisfaction, with all of the various ZF products that are being used in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the many other territories of the South Pacific Region.

In 2007, ZF achieved sales of Euro12.7 billion [approximately AUD$21.4 billion], making  ZF one of the world's leading automotive industry suppliers of driveline and chassis technology.

Since the 1st of April 2005, the business activities of the formerly separate company - ZF Trading Australia Pacific Pty Ltd, was legally merged with the Sales and Service Organisation, formerly known as ZF Australia Pty Ltd.

The new name of the "merged" entity became ZF Australia Pacific Pty Limited.
